What are the eligibility requirements to obtain a driving license in Nepal?

To be eligible to apply for a driving license in Nepal, you must have a valid passport. Your application must also be signed by a Senior Superintendent of Police or the Commissioner of Police.

In order to apply for a learner's permit, you must be between the ages of 18 and 21.

If you are over 50 years old, however, you will only be eligible to apply for a provisional driving license.

All applicants must also undergo a medical examination administered by a government-approved physician and pass a written examination on the Highway Code and the rules and regulations governing the use of motor vehicles in Nepal.

You will eventually get an SMS with your smart card license's print status on it.

How can I apply for a driving license in Nepal?

You can apply for a driving license at the Department of Motor Traffic office in the district where you live.
